Apologies for the radio silence, I've been a very busy bee over the last couple of months working away on quite a big/lengthy private commission which I should be able to show you in about a month's time! I've really been pushing my style with it and think that I've managed to crack some new colouring techniques and work a lot on my character design work. It's slightly in the same, more child-friendly, vein as the skydive crochet illustration and I'm quite excited about working more into that style and developing my children's work. About 18 or so illustrations plus character design sheets have come out of it, so there's certainly a lot to share.

In the mean time, here's some unseen artwork from me that can actually be shared... a few little doodles and illustrations that I've done over the course of this year in various styles that I've been trying out, including some mothers day giraffes and a rather excitable orangutan playing bingo!

The wheelbarrow illustration was actually created last year for our 'new home' card and was one of the first illustrations I've done that was completely drawn on my Wacom without my usual pencil linework. It was definitely really strange drawing completely digitally, and although I quite enjoyed it, I can't seem to let go of my pencils entirely. There's something about the tactility and experience of working on paper that I can't completely let go just yet! I've been nervous about sharing this illustration up until now as I didn't want any confusion when it came to my style, but I think it's good to show some experiments, so why not...  enjoy!

As always, let me know what you think and how you are getting on... I feel quite out of the loop, but will get back into online networking/blogging duties again fully now!
