Poems # 5 - Take One Home For The Kiddies

Nearly there! Second to last illustrated poem...'Take One Home For The Kiddies' by Philip Larkin. I think this is my least favourite out of the set... not sure why, I think the composition is a bit off, maybe it's too 'cute' too? I like the rabbits in the background though :)

  1. I'm of the opinion that things cannot be "too" cute, and I absolutely love your rabbits. I agree with you about the bunnies in the background, it's a great touch that adds some depth to the illustration.
I understand what you mean about the composition, perhaps the upper half of the illustration is too blank, and needs something to draw it in to the rest of the image? Or maybe it would be worth moving the placement of the rabbit about, to try and achieve a "golden ratio" with the negative space? Either way, I don't think it's too big a problem (we just tend to criticize our own work more, right?) and I think this is a really great illustration! :)

  2. Wow, thank you very much! Yeah now you mention it I think the empty space in the upper third is a bit distracting. I was thinking about adding a hand reaching down into the cage but not sure if it'd make it too cluttered! Thanks for your comment :)

  3. Are you interested in helping others? Can you handle and care for people who learn differently and have other behavioral problems? Do you want to make a difference in a young child's life? If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, then you might consider a career in special education. Below is a breakdown of the short and long-term responsibilities of a special education teacher.http://www.how-todo.xyz/
