Bookshelf Illustrations

As a little break from a rather heavy workload of uni projects over the Christmas holidays I took on a little personal project to paint my art book collection. The first part is done in gouache... this is the 'Art of..' concept art books section! Starting to fully realise I may have a bit of an obsession with collecting them, but they're all so beautiful and great to leaf through when you need some inspiration. The second part of the shelves should follow next week!

Whilst I'm on the topic, I'm getting quite excited for the release of Disney's new film Tangled (the art book for which is on my shelf above, and highly recommended - full of great character design pages!), and stumbled across these lovely pieces of work created by Disney concept artist Claire Keane.
